HISTORY

Since 1933, the name Sanders has been synonymous with solid, reliable fire protection. That was the year Ted Sanders formed the company Sanders Industrial Equipment Co. and was an agent for Walter Kidde & Co, Inc. (now known as Kidde-Fenwal, Inc.). The company was purchased by John Cenci in the 1960s and he added the distributor lines of Pyrotronics, Edwards, and Couch Fire Alarm Systems. The company became incorporated with the State of New York in January, 1975.  In 1976, Martin Dalton, formerly a Regional Sales Manager for Walter Kidde & Co, joined Sanders as General Manager with a buy agreement for the company. In 1987, Martin Dalton became the Owner and President. His dream outlived him. His wife, Kate Dalton became President in 2019 and Sanders continues to thrive.
